More than 40 species of waterbirds spread across the zoo's lagoons.
At the zoo you will see several lagoons scattered throughout the park, because we are located in a watery area. However, there is one area that stands out in this respect: βThe Lakesβ.
A lagoon is a natural body of water that is separate from the sea and smaller than a lake β especially in depth β and its waters may be fresh, brackish or even salty.
