A temperate grassland biome that recreates the prairies and steppes of the whole world.
Temperate grasslands and shrublands β in other words, prairies and steppes β form a biome whose predominant ecosystems are grasslands in a temperate climate, from semi-arid to humid, with a warm season and a markedly cold winter.
Temperate grasslands are found in five main areas: the prairies (prairies) of the Great Plains of North America, the pampas of South America, the veld of South Africa, the steppes of Asia and the savannahs of southern Australia.
