Adventure, nature and environmental education for children, in a unique setting alongside the zoo's animals.
The Zoo Koki Foundation offers you, as part of its educational programme, the summer camp at the zoo.
Are you looking for a camp full of adventure, fun, nature, sport…? We present «Camp at the Zoo», the adventure camp in an unrivalled setting. We have thought of everything for you!
The privileged location of this camp, set in a natural environment within ZOO KOKI, allows us to run a broad and enjoyable summer programme of activities related to nature and environmental education, leisure and free time, coordinated and led by teachers and leisure-time specialist instructors.
Each edition travels around the world and meets different animals: felines, birds, ruminants, reptiles… and many more, to show us what they are like and how they live, and to bring us a little closer to nature.
During the summer camp, children will have the chance to spend time with new friends and enjoy nature.
A workshop on endangered animals, animal and plant conservation, sports, games… are some of the activities on offer.
A week of activities is offered, but it is possible to take part on individual days, as the camp does not offer accommodation.
The programme is aimed at children aged 5 to 12.
The most recommended option is always the full week, since the activities, although independent, are more enriching and the experience of life at the zoo is much more complete. The dates of each edition are announced on the website and on our social media.
This is what a typical edition of the camp looks like, organised in three themed days:
Day 1. Birds of prey — introduction to the zoo's diurnal and nocturnal birds, their characteristics and curiosities, with time to observe them; hands-on workshops, breakfast, lunch and water games.
Day 2. Felines — introduction to the different felines that live at the zoo, with time to observe them; hands-on workshops, the cat-and-mouse game, crafts and water games.
Day 3. Green zone — introduction to different species, their reproduction, diet and conservation; a treasure hunt around the zoo, craft and sticker workshops, and water games.
The usual hours are 9:00 to 17:00, with breakfast and lunch included in the camp.
